Children

Children are considered a vital and special part of our church family. They keep us in touch with simple and uncomplicated responses to God. They refresh our imagination to the life of the spirit and remind us that we are all children of God. With joy and enthusiasm they awaken to God's love and generously share their gifts of spontaneity and wonder. Their experience here at Des Moines will affect their views of church and religion for a long time. It is our hope within the context of the worship service and the church school that children will feel the love and warmth of God. To experience love, acceptance and God's grace is our primary goal, and necessary in their understanding of God's message and the lessons Jesus taught found in the Bible. Children are our future and it is here they begin their faith journeys and establish the foundation upon which they will build their beliefs and life styles.
