WOMEN

The organized unit of the United Methodist Women (UMW) is a community whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. The UMW meets quarterly and there are six regularly active UMW "Response Groups" at the Des Moines UMC. These are: Eunice Allen; Mission Response; Share and Care; Shining Lights; Coffee, Tee, and Thee; and the Quilters.

Mom's Group meets on the third Thursday evening of every month for fellowship. Child care is provided.

New Mom's Group, for moms who are newer to motherhood, meets every Thursday at noon in the Church Nursery. A great time for fellowship and play for the kids.
